An Inspired Beginning
Sundays at the Miller home always meant church, yard work and then beach time — in that order. So Brad Miller and his two brothers along with their dad learned landscaping in the traditional sense — at the end of a shovel. What was duty became joy as Miller developed a love and hobby of all things green — especially potted houseplants.
In 1983, in a classic “Eureka” moment, Brad was struck with the idea of combining his passion for potted plants with a business service. Certainly he reasoned, business leaders appreciate the value of a professional and welcoming ambiance — and live plants were just the ticket.
From the humble beginnings of one small Doctor’s office and a Honda Civic service vehicle — Interior Plant Scapes has grown to include over 400 of Southwest Florida’s most prominent businesses. They truly are a home-town and home-grown small business success.

You’ll hear this axiom often if you ever attend an Interior Plant Scapes staff meeting, “plants aren’t for buildings — plants are for people.” A great reminder that we are in the people business, and as such our people are our greatest asset.
